Eugene Chiu, MD, FACC is Board Certified in Cardiology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Chiu earned his Medical Degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago and his Cardiology Fellowship at the Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL. Dr Chiu graduated from the University of Chicago as the John Crerar Scholar with Chemistry, B.A. with honors and membership in Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. It is during this period of time that Dr. Chiu developed an interest in Laser Physics and Photonics (science of light).
Dr. Chiu is a member of the American College of Phlebology, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), American College of Cardiology (ACC), the American College of Physicians (ACP), and the American Medical Association (AMA). Dr. Chiu is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC). And he has served as a researcher, consultant, and university instructor.
For over 20 years, Dr. Chiu has provided highly personalized and compassionate health care in the Southwest Chicago metropolitan area. What distinguishes Dr Chiu is that he focuses on the individual and is very much attuned to the personal needs of his patients. As part of his practice of Cardiology and Internal Medicine, Dr. Chiu developed a growing interest and expertise in vascular medicine and treatment of peripheral artery and vein diseases. Dr Chiu is skilled in the various interventional (catheter and angioplasty based) treatments of these diseases. Because patients with artery and vein problems often have aesthetic and cosmetic needs, Dr. Chiu’s interest evolved into cosmetic treatments as well for his patients.
Over the years, Dr Chiu has undergone extensive training to become fully certified to perform advanced laser treatments and to stay at the cutting edge of the latest techniques in the medical use of lasers for vein treatments as well as in cosmetic dermatology.
Brian J. Egan, DO, FACOOG is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Egan earned his Medical Degree from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. He completed his internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Midwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Egan is a member of the American Medical Association, American Osteopathic Association, and Will-Grundy Medical Society. Dr. Egan is also a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetrics and Gynecology, Diplomate of National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners, and Diplomate of American Board of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Egan is a life-long resident of Joliet, Illinois. He attended Troy Schools and graduated from Joliet Catholic High School. For the past 12 years, Dr. Egan has practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology in Shorewood, IL. Dr. Egan provides highly personalized and compassionate health care and is highly attuned to the personal needs of his patients. Through his training in Osteopathic medicine, he is uniquely qualified to focus on the whole person. Through his practice over the years, Dr. Egan has broadened his clinical interests in the overall care of the health and well being of his patients to include their aesthetic and cosmetic needs.

Thomas Heggen, MD, FACOG is a Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist who has practiced in the area for 22 years. He earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, and completed his internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Blodgett Memorial Medical Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr Heggen earned his undergraduate degree from Iowa State University in Ames, IA where he graduated With Distinction with a BS in Biomedical Engineering. It was during these years he became interested in the use of lasers and light in the treatment of numerous medical conditions.
Dr. Heggen has become known for his holistic and compassionate care of his patients. His special interests include minimally invasive surgery, the perimenopause, and general medical care of his patients, especially as it is uniquely influenced by age and gender. His career-long interest in gender specific aspects of dermatology, coupled with more than two decades of experience using a variety of lasers in the treatment of gynecologic and skin conditions, have made aesthetics medicine a natural addition to his practice. Dr Heggen has received advanced training in non-surgical aesthetics/cosmetic procedures from some of the nation’s leading experts in this field.
Dr. Heggen is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecology (ABOG). He is also a member of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), North American Menopause Society (NAMS), AMA, Illinois State Medical Society, and Will-Grundy County Medical Society.
Angela Intili MD, FACOG is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She graduated from University of Pavia, Italy and is Board Certified in the European College of Physicians. She has completed her residency at Northwestern-Columbus-Cabrini Medical Center in Chicago.
Dr. Intili is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and member of the Menopausal Society, Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, The American Board of Anti-aging, and World Society of Anti-Aging Medicine.
She is certified in laser treatments, dermal fillers, mesotherapy, chemical peels and sclerotherapy.
James Kim, MD, FACOG is a board certified physician who has extensive experience with minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery and laser surgery. Over the years Dr. Kim's interest and knowledge of laser surgery has allowed him to expand the use of lasers to cosmetic applications. He has brought his knowledge and experience with minimally invasive surgery to cosmetic laser procedures to minimize your recovery time and maximize your treatment results.
Dr. Kim's training includes completing a laser and minimally invasive surgery fellowship at Tufts New England Medical Center and Women's Surgery Center. He also completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at SUNY Buffalo.
More recently, Dr Kim has supplemented his experience with laser surgery by training extensively with the leaders in the field of cosmetic laser surgery.
Dr. Kim is certified in Advanced Laparoscopic and Laser surgery by the Accreditation Council of Gynecologic Endoscopy. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
Keith Lim, DO, FACOG is a Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist with a special interest in advanced non-surgical cosmetic procedures and methods. He has carefully researched and trained extensively in the latest and most advanced treatments in Skin rejuvenation, BOTOX®, Dermal Fillers and Laser procedures.
Dr. Lim is a graduate of the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Services in Des Moines, IA. He completed his residency at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Cleveland, OH. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecology and fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
After many rewarding years practicing obstetrics and gynecology, he came across a subtle demand from his patients to broaden his profession into what seems to be a natural progression as generations become more aware of the desire to be healthy, live longer, feel better and look better. The needs of his patients combined with his passion for aesthetics moved him to join Eterna Med Spa and Laser Vein Center with other like-minded physicians to offer a most comprehensive aesthetic service.
Colin Sumida, MD, FACC is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, and Internal Medicine. Dr. Sumida earned his Medical Degree from the Northwestern University in Chicago. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Northwestern University in Chicago, and his Cardiology Fellowship at the Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL. Dr. Sumida is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC).
Dr. Sumida served in the United States Air Force as an Internist for four years. After completing his fellowship in Cardiology, he practiced cardiology for 17 years with a special interest in interventional cardiology, performing balloon angioplasty and stenting procedures in the heart and legs. It was the evaluation and treatment of peripheral vascular arterial disease that eventually led to the treatment of venous disease as well. Dr. Sumida has developed expertise in the treatment of varicose veins and spider telangiectasias with laser, injection sclerotherapy, and ambulatory phlebectomy (vein stripping) techniques that are all performed in the office. The cosmetic aspects of the vein practice has led Dr. Sumida to acquire skills in BOTOX® injections, injectable fillers, and laser skin resurfacing techniques as well.
